At Heat Geek, we are tackling one of the UK’s biggest carbon contributors: home heating.
Nearly 20% of all UK carbon emissions stems from home heating - and that contribution is even bigger on a global scale.
At Heat Geek, we are changing that.
By simplifying a traditionally complex industry and revolutionising the technology used by installers, we're making low-carbon heating mainstream.
We have already prevented over 2,500 metric tonnes of carbon from entering our atmosphere as of May 2026, and we aren't stopping there!
Join Us!
People are at the core of who we are and what we do.
From decreasing homeowners' energy bills to help with the cost of living, to empowering talented heating engineers to perform outstanding installations, to ensuring a greener world for all of us, we believe in the power of what we can all do together.
And we need passionate, talented, hard working people to be a part of this journey.
Your Mission
Our Heat Geek team is excited to hire a Supply Chain Lead to help build a best-in-class supply chain for heat pump technology.
This is a senior, hands-on role with real ownership: you'll manage our existing supplier relationships, keep them performing well, and continue developing the supply base as the business grows.
This role is ideal for someone who is commercially sharp, relationship-driven, and comfortable operating with real uncertainty.
You'll be judged on how well the supply chain performs day to day, and how well it holds up under pressure.
If you're reading this and it resonates with you, we know that you are talented and could do this work anywhere.
But we want you to do it HERE, with us, because we need persevering teammates who care about making a real difference in the world.
- Manage our supply chain relationships with manufacturers, merchants, and key suppliers to ensure performance as the business grows
- Ensure the products we work with meet high standards of efficiency, quality, and install outcomes
- Negotiate strong commercial terms across our supplier base without compromising quality or compliance
- Supply Chain Development
- Continue developing our supply base, and identify where new supplier relationships would strengthen the business
- Support supply chain resilience as the business scales
- Proactively plan for supply chain risks such as stock shortages or manufacturer delays
- Build fallback options so the business isn't exposed to a single point of failure
- Act as escalation owner for complex supply chain issues, delivering timely, structured resolutions and feeding learnings back into long-term process
- Manage and develop a junior team member, setting clear expectations and giving them room to grow into the function
- Delegate day-to-day supplier administration and tracking so your own time stays focused on relationships, negotiation, and resilience planning
- Performance, Data & Reporting
- Define and track key supply chain metrics (cost, lead time, resilience, quality)
- Produce clear, actionable reporting for the COO and senior leadership
- Use data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities across partners
- Candidate Requirements
- 4+ years' experience in supply chain, procurement, commercial operations, or similar roles
- Track record of managing and growing supplier relationships in a scaling business
- Strong commercial instincts: comfortable negotiating and structuring supplier deals
- Experience building resilience or contingency planning into a supply chain
- Comfortable managing and developing a junior team member
- Data-informed, with strong analytical skills
- Comfortable working with CRMs, workflow tools, and automation platforms
- Calm, structured problem-solver with experience managing escalations and risk
- It's a bonus if you have…
- Experience with heat pumps, renewable energy, construction, or utilities
- Experience working in a start up or similarly fast-paced environment
- Experience working with manufacturers on new product introduction
- Ways of Working + Benefits
This is a 3-day-in-the-office-hybrid role where you will work with the team at our office in Sustainable Ventures in Waterloo, Europe's biggest climate tech hub.
It's a 5-minute walk from Waterloo Station and an energising space for anyone working on climate change.
And don't get us started on the epic view!
Some of our measurable benefits include
- Shares in the company, allocated under a tax-incentivised scheme
- Salary that's evaluated regularly, and based on skills, impact, and role scope, not negotiation tactics
- £5,000 contribution towards your own heat pump installation
- Private medical & dental insurance
- Learning and development budget
- Annual summer retreat
- Season train ticket loan
- Cycle to work scheme
- Yoga, run club and social events with other sustainability startups in our co-working space
