At Heat Geek, we are tackling one of the UK’s biggest carbon contributors: home heating. 20% of all UK carbon emissions stems from home heating – and that contribution is even bigger on a global scale. By simplifying a traditionally complex industry and revolutionising the technology used by installers, we’re making low-carbon heating mainstream. We have already prevented over 2,600,000 kilograms of carbon from entering our atmosphere as of July 2026, and we aren’t stopping there!

People are at the core of who we are and what we do. From decreasing homeowners’ energy bills to help with the cost of living, to empowering talented heating engineers to perform outstanding installations, to ensuring a greener world for all of us, we believe in the power of what we can all do together. We need passionate, talented, hard-working people to be a part of this journey.

Our Heat Geek team is excited to be hiring a Marketing Associate. This is your opportunity to develop and lead the front-line engagement that connects Heat Geek with the wider world. As part of a small, fast-growing company and a newly formed Growth team, you will be taking on a role that’s vital to our scale-up: helping shape how we grow and market ourselves as we expand. This 360-degree marketing position requires you to be deep in the detail of our community interactions while being prepared to contribute to the strategic discussions that will define our future.

If you’re reading this and it resonates with you, we know that you are talented and could do this work anywhere. But we want you to do it HERE, with us, because we need persevering teammates who care about making a real difference in the world.

Your Mission

Role Outputs:

  • Community Management & Advocacy
    • Channel Ownership: Manage our core community channels (e.g., Reddit, Facebook) to drive daily engagement, conversation quality, and a positive engagement experience.
    • Proactive Moderation: Respond to comments and queries promptly, including managing our customer review responses. You will provide helpful information, signpost users to relevant resources, and ensure all interactions adhere to our community guidelines.
    • Ambassador Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with community moderators and brand ambassadors to ensure our mission is supported by the most active members of the community.
  • Content Marketing
    • Social Scheduling: Create and schedule content across all social media and digital platforms. You will work closely with our video production team to turn assets into platform-specific "scroll-stoppers."
    • Digital Content: Assist with website updates, the creation of case studies, and the development of marketing materials to ensure our digital real estate is always current and compelling.
  • Communications & Campaigns
    • CRM & Email: Support the delivery of email campaigns, newsletters, and customer communications. You will help draft copy and manage customer campaigns.
    • Strategic Support: Contribute to the creation of digital marketing plans and assist in the development of multi-channel campaigns that drive our 2026 growth goals.

Candidate Requirements

  • 1-3 years' experience in social media management, community management, or a generalist marketing role.
  • Excellent writing skills: you can write an empathetic Reddit response just as well as a high-converting email subject line.
  • Digital native: you understand the nuances of different platforms and how to tailor content for each.
  • Highly organised: you can manage a complex posting schedule and keep our "inbox zero" approach to community queries.
  • Proactive and curious: you don’t wait to be told what to post; you are always looking for the next conversation to join or the next story to tell.

It’s a bonus if you have…

  • Experience using CRM tools (like HubSpot) to send email campaigns.
  • A genuine interest in climate tech or sustainability.

We believe great teams are built from different ways of thinking, learning, and living, and as such, we strive to build an organisation where people can show up as themselves. Even if you don’t tick every box listed above, but are passionate about the work that we are doing and believe that you can make a positive impact here, we’d love to hear from you. So please drop us a message or share more detail in your application!
