General Manager – The Coat and Bear, Newbury

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced General Manager to join our fantastic team in one of our fabulous sites with rooms. This newly developed double-fronted building with high ceilings, a private courtyard, and an island bar will offer 40 Bar, 116 Dining covers, and 26 beautiful rooms.

General Manager – The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of 3 years GM experience
  • Will have a great presence and a vibrant personality
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Be a real team player who thrives on motivation and empowering your team
  • Will have experience in running busy operations and overseeing large teams
  • Ability to maintain high standards across all areas of the business
  • You must be commercially and financially minded
  • Proven experience in delivering business growth, budgets, staff retention
  • Excellent at problem-solving and decision making
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle busy service times
