We are currently recruiting for a Head of Digital to join our growing team at Heartwood Collection. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will be the strategic lead for all digital touchpoints across our brasseries, pubs, and pubs with rooms. You are responsible for the overarching digital vision, driving guest acquisition and retention through a seamless, data-driven ecosystem. You will oversee a diverse remit including CRM, Loyalty, Data & Insights, Product (Web/App), Content, and Optimisation, while managing key agency partnerships to ensure our digital presence is commercial, innovative, and market-leading. The role is based full time at our Head Office in Teddington, conveniently located next to the station.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the digital strategy to drive online bookings, guest frequency, and digital revenue.
- Full ownership of the digital budget, ensuring optimal ROI across paid media, tech investment, and production.
- Keep the brand at the forefront of hospitality tech, exploring AI, personalised guest experiences, and frictionless booking.
- Manage specialist agencies (SEO, PPC, Paid Social, Affiliates) to ensure high-quality traffic and efficient cost‐per‐acquisition (CPA).
- Oversee the relationship with web developers and UX designers to manage the product roadmap and site stability.
- Help lead the procurement and annual reviews of all digital vendors.
- Develop and scale our Treats and Le‐Club loyalty programmes that incentivise repeat visits across all brand pillars.
- Work closely with the product team, to bring to life new supplier activations that excite our guests, delivering 'surprise and delight' moments.
- Oversee the CRM Manager to ensure automated journeys and ad‐hoc campaigns are sophisticated, segmented, and drive measurable lifetime value (LTV).
- Act as the custodian of guest data, ensuring GDPR compliance and the integration of data flows between all our digital channels.
- Lead a continuous CRO programme of working including A/B testing on the website and booking engines to reduce friction and increase conversion.
- Deliver high-level insights to the Executive team, translating complex digital metrics into actionable commercial outcomes.
- Oversee the digital content calendar, ensuring brand consistency across web, loyalty, and email.
- Ensure the 'digital front door' of our pubs and brasseries matches the high‐quality physical experience of our venues.
About You
- 3+ years in digital marketing or ecommerce, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in hospitality, travel, or retail is an advantage.
- Proven ability to move beyond execution to high‐level planning that aligns with wider business goals.
- Deep understanding of the 'MarTech' landscape. Familiarity with these platforms – CRM (Airship/Atreemo), CMS (WordPress), Loyalty (Pepper) and Analytics (GA4/Tableau).
- You don’t just report on clicks; you report on covers, revenue, and margin. You are comfortable challenging the finance team and justifying spend based on data.
- A mentor who can manage a small internal team while effectively holding external agencies accountable.
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment, comfortably pivoting on our strategy and tactical initiatives based on seasonal trends, trading shifts, or new market entries when required.
