Responsibilities
- The Governors are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work at our friendly, caring school.
- The job involves regular PPA cover across the whole school, covering classes, leading intervention groups and supporting in class.
- This may involve preparing and delivering activities for whole class learning on a short-term basis.
- The role requires flexibility, initiative and a supportive attitude.
Ideal Candidate
- Excellent numeracy/literacy skills GCSE grade C/4 or above.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience of working in and supervising classes.
- Have good behaviour management strategies.
- Be able to use their own initiative to support teaching and learning.
- Be calm, positive and flexible.
- Use assessment to inform planning and teaching.
- Champion all children to fulfil their potential.
- Has a warm personality and a good sense of humour.
- Committed to building strong relationships with the whole school community.
