An exciting opportunity has arisen at our wonderful setting - Heartwood Church of England VC Primary and Nursery School. We are seeking an ambitious, nurturing and dedicated professional to join our school.

Responsibilities

  • The Governors are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work at our friendly, caring school.
  • The job involves regular PPA cover across the whole school, covering classes, leading intervention groups and supporting in class.
  • This may involve preparing and delivering activities for whole class learning on a short-term basis.
  • The role requires flexibility, initiative and a supportive attitude.

Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent numeracy/literacy skills GCSE grade C/4 or above.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience of working in and supervising classes.
  • Have good behaviour management strategies.
  • Be able to use their own initiative to support teaching and learning.
  • Be calm, positive and flexible.
  • Use assessment to inform planning and teaching.
  • Champion all children to fulfil their potential.
  • Has a warm personality and a good sense of humour.
  • Committed to building strong relationships with the whole school community.
  • Values and works hard to keep and maintain an effective classroom environment.
