Unique opportunity for Head Chef/Kitchen manager wanted for a busy country pub (in between Honiton and Sidmouth). The Hare and Hounds is a well-established country pub serving excellent food, classic pub meals, a traditional carvery and a specials board.

We are looking for an experienced high volume Head Chef/Kitchen manager who thrives under pressure, builds a great team environment through strong leadership qualities and has a keen eye for quality under pressure with experience of a high volume kitchen.

Role and responsibilities:
  • Managing all aspects of kitchen and food production
  • Developing menus and daily specials board with allergens in mind
  • Cost awareness - build a good relationship with suppliers and have the ability to negotiate
  • Training, progression and management of the kitchen team
  • Take responsibility for HACCP and implementation of health & safety procedures ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met at all times
  • Weekly staff rota
