Your Role

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide consistent, personalised care throughout the night.
  • Support personal care and daily living tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a calm, safe, and nurturing home environment.
  • Monitor wellbeing and behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with the daytime team to ensure seamless care.
  • Keep clear and accurate records of overnight activities and observations.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
  • Contribute to care plans and follow behaviour support strategies.

What You\’ll Bring

Essential:

  • Experience supporting children or young people (residential care, fostering, education, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust and positive relationships.

  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Flexibility to work waking night shifts, including weekends.
  • Team player with a proactive, caring approach.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People\’s Workforce.
  • First Aid training.

  • Full UK driving licence.
