We are a 3-doctor practice who utilise seasoned technicians to provide an excellent experience to our patients and clients. Our efficient support staff allows our doctors to focus on patient care and client service; exactly the type of medicine you wanted to practice when you got out of school! We have the tools to provide the best diagnosis of your patients, including ultrasound and digital x-rays. And if surgery is your passion, you’ll love our fully equipped surgery suite which supports 2 tables! Essential Responsibilities:
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- DVM/VMD from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
