We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our Clarkston, MI team.
As the Lead Teacher, you have responsibility for day-to-day classroom management, creating activities and age appropriate lesson plans with the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher to provide the best possible learning experience for young children utilizing the High Scope curriculum.
Position Details
- Status: Regular, full-time (40 hours/week)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:45am-3:45pm
- Pay rate- $15-$20/hour (based on certification or degree plus years of experience in early childhood education)
- Location: Onsite, Clarkston, MI
- Desired start date: August 17, 2026
- Please note this position does not qualify for US Visa sponsorship or relocation
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, required
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in early childhood education, child development or a child-related field is preferred
- A minimum of one year experience in a toddler classroom is required
- CPR certification is required for all teaching staff, may be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US
Essential functions
- Ensures overall safety of children
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
- Implement High Scope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
- Conduct Parent Teacher conferences
- Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
