Key Responsibilities
- Candidate Sourcing & Attraction
- Proactively source candidates for education roles including teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff.
- Use job boards, CV databases, social media, referrals and internal systems to identify suitable candidates.
- Write and post job adverts in line with safer recruitment principles.
- Screen CVs and conduct initial candidate qualification calls.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active and passive candidates.
- Write up candidate CV’s and profiles for current open roles within the business.
- Register new candidates in line with agency procedures and education safeguarding requirements.
- Conduct initial interviews (video/in person) to assess suitability, experience and motivation.
- Promote available roles and encourage candidate engagement and availability.
- Maintain regular contact with candidates to build long-term relationships.
- Get candidates availability week to week ready for consultants to book for cover.
- Support the onboarding process to ensure candidates meet Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Safer Recruitment requirements before placement.
- Flag any safeguarding or suitability concerns to senior staff promptly.
- Assist with compliance and vetting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records on the recruitment CRM/ATS.
- Ensure all notes, availability and compliance statuses are recorded correctly.
- Support consultants with shortlisting candidates for roles and bookings.
- Assist with general recruitment administration as required.
Person Specification
Essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident telephone manner and ability to build rapport quickly.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- IT-literate with experience using databases and Microsoft Office.
- Aware of safeguarding principles or willingness to undertake training.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a recruitment resourcer, recruiter, or in a sales/customer-focused role.
- Experience within education recruitment or working within schools.
- Knowledge of DBS checks and education compliance processes.
