Contract Fixed‐term until completion of the new software implementation phase (expected April 2026), with a potential extension to December 2026.

The Software Implementation Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the successful deployment of a new technology solution into the organization. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams—including the Solution Provider, HR, IT, business units, and stakeholders—to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of the solution to meet business goals. The right person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody Hornblower's RESPECT Service System.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring all requirements are documented on time, including advanced scheduling; ensuring the correct individuals are involved.
  • Leading definition of any integrations required to support implementation, ensuring delivery on time and to the required quality.
  • Leading UAT testing, ensuring it is completed on time to the required quality, ensuring a robust UAT capacity plan is in place utilizing the provider's UAT dashboards to manage UAT through to completion.
  • Leading internal weekly progress meetings and providing project progress updates for internally owned activities to the provider's Project Manager.
  • Jointly responsible with the Provider's Project Manager for updating the Steer Co with progress and risk management.
  • Managing the sign off and of the blueprint ensuring all required team members are engaged in the process.
  • Managing the change control process and ensuring the correct governance is followed.
  • Ensuring data loads and parallel testing is completed on time to the required quality.
  • Managing the RAID, ensuring all required actions are owned and addressed on time.
  • Ensuring there is a robust go live plan with sufficient business capacity to support successful go live.
  • Supporting and assisting the leadership team with their deliverables through proactive flagging of their activities and upcoming milestones, and identifying/carrying out actions to assist them with timely delivery.
  • Ensuring all relevant individuals are included in meetings, decision making and sign-off.
  • Ensuring that all project meetings within their areas of responsibility are scheduled for the appropriate period of time with the correct attendees.
  • Preparing the update for the Executive Steering Committee.

EST or UK based to support the European time zone. Remote working with occasional travel to company sites may be required.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–7 years of project management experience in IT implementation.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana, Smartsheet).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) implementations preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
