PURPOSE OF ROLE

The role of Account Director will be the predominant lead on various projects, primarily with an entertainment focus, supporting the Senior Leadership Team ensuring delivery of projects with drive and passion, keen attention to detail, impressive client relation skills, strong negotiation and organisational skills, and a sense of what makes an event stand out in a crowd. The role involves managing projects simultaneously, whilst continually building key relationships with clients and offering counsel and advice day to day and supporting the wider team. The ideal candidate should have live event experience, ideally within an entertainment environment, with the ultimate ask being a proven track record in Premieres, screenings, Festivals, influencer activations, junkets, Consumer Events, Product Launches and Brand Experiences. Above all, they should demonstrate the willingness and motivation to take ownership of the project from conception to delivery, taking the lead throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Taking the initial project brief alongside the Senior leadership team.
  • Establish & maintain decks and collateral to communicate agency responses to the project brief.
  • Proactively manage and respond to client requests as the central point of contact for the project.
  • Produce, manage & maintain budget estimates and critical paths throughout the project.
  • Collaborate with internal design and technical teams to develop solutions that satisfy the project brief, ensuring these meet brand guidelines, marketing codes etc., and ensure thorough scenario planning.
  • Oversee and manage the core administrative tasks necessary to complete the project, supported by the team (e.g. contact reports, payment schedules, hour reconciliations etc.).
  • Delegate where needed, and work hard to ensure the team are given opportunities to develop and grow in their roles.
  • Show leadership amongst all project stakeholders as the central point of contact for the project, both during pre-production and on-site.
  • Motivate and encourage the design and technical team members to ensure production timelines are met and quality control throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Lead on negotiations with venues to secure the optimum venue, with the most favourable terms at the best price.
  • Build and enhance current relationships across all suppliers.
  • Work on-site in a flexible capacity to ensure successful delivery of the live event.
  • Line management is key to this role, responsible for managing reviews and objective setting for junior members of the team.
  • Create a pathway for junior members to meet objectives, supporting and delegating where appropriate.
  • Create a best-in-class account team to optimise how the department works cohesively.
  • Be an ambassador for developing ways of working with other departments in the agency.
  • Ensure the agency is at the forefront of new industry initiatives, new venues, new processes, and new software to maximise agency effectiveness and client satisfaction.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience of live events in a production management capacity.
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ideally a passion and drive for entertainment.
  • Computer Literate – Fully conversant with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google, Slack.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills – and an eye for detail.
  • A creative problem solver who enjoys thinking outside of the box.
  • Proven ability to work flexibly and accurately at all times and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate good decision making in demanding on-site situations, and to deal with them in a professional and calm manner.
  • Strong team player.
  • Knowledge of current H&S legislation relevant to the Live Events industry.
  • Ability to understand/navigate technical drawings/plans.
  • Full driving license.
