Learning Technologist – Driving Digital Innovation in Education
Salary: £31,925 - £33,869 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Based at Wakefield College, but working across all sites will be required.

We’re looking for a Learning Technologist to join our dynamic Innovate team and help shape the future of education across our group. In this exciting role, you’ll work at the forefront of digital innovation, supporting educators to integrate advanced technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the classroom. Your work will directly enhance teaching and learning experiences, making education more immersive, interactive, and impactful.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with Innovate Leads across our three sites to identify opportunities for embedding VR, AI, and other emerging technologies into the curriculum.
- Create and Inspire: Design, test, and refine engaging digital learning resources that align with curriculum goals and captivate learners.
- Enable and Support: Partner with IT and Business Systems teams to ensure educators and students have the technical support they need to succeed.
- Lead and Deliver: Manage projects that drive the development and implementation of digital learning initiatives across the organisation.
- Champion Change: Advocate for innovative teaching practices and the adoption of transformative technologies that empower both staff and students.
You will have:
- GCSE in Maths and English A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
- A Teaching qualification is desirable but not essential
- Up to date experience of immersive technologies
