An opportunity has arisen within the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group, for a Provision Lead to join the Construction Department.

As a Provision Lead your role will involve:

  • Assisting the Deputy Head to provide leadership within a specific discipline for the development of up-to-date materials and resources to support curriculum development, teaching, and learning.
  • Assisting the Deputy Head to improve the delivery within a particular discipline of the schemes of work and the assessment, recording and reporting of student achievement.
  • Assisting the Deputy Head to monitor and address attendance, punctuality, and student disciplinary issues in a specific discipline.
  • Assisting the Deputy Head to ensure appropriate attention is given to the promotion of equality and diversity in the curriculum in a particular discipline.
  • Monitoring the curriculum within a particular discipline against key performance indicators – success, retention and achievement rates and targets; value added; attendance targets.
  • Assisting the Deputy Head in coaching and mentoring of staff as appropriate.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of registers for a particular discipline and other student related documentation and returns.

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • A full level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational discipline is essential.
  • A Certificate in Education or PGCE.
  • Assessor Awards and IQA Awards (or willingness to work towards).
  • GCSE A*- C / 9 – 4 in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Experience of delivery across the vocational discipline; course leadership within the relevant vocational discipline.
  • Experience of establishing and maintaining effective relationships within the group.
