Lecturer – Early Years

Job Title: Lecturer in Early Years

Location: Worcester

Hours: 37 hours per week, full time

Salary: Up to £41,413, starting salary dependent on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning across Early Years programmes
  • Plan, assess and monitor learner progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
  • Develop and maintain curriculum materials, including schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment resources
  • Support learners to achieve their goals through effective guidance and individual learning planning
  • Embed and promote English, maths and digital skills within the curriculum
  • Use technology to enhance teaching, learning and assessment
  • Maintain accurate learner records, progress tracking and administrative documentation
  • Contribute to quality improvement activities, curriculum meetings and course management
  • Liaise with relevant departments to support learner achievement and programme delivery
  • Ensure safe working practices within the programme area
  • Take part in the recruitment of learners, providing appropriate advice and guidance
  • Prepare and provide assignment and assessment material for specific programmes
  • Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, individual learning plans and assessment schedules
  • Evaluate and assess learners’ work (formative and summative) and provide timely constructive feedback
  • Attend curriculum meetings and contribute to continual quality improvement mechanisms
