To become a Lecturer in Hospitality and Catering in our Hospitality department, we are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, patient and has a passion for teaching. The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities. We have a variety of students from the surrounding area; we are a welcoming and inclusive community that champions diversity and equality across our college. Our departments collaborate to establish and uphold the inclusive HoW culture, and we consider this in our interactions with the public, fellow employees, and nearby schools. Although this position is centred on our Worcester and Redditch campus, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.

Responsibilities

  • To teach a range of programmes in hospitality and catering.
  • To develop further courses in Hospitality and Catering.
  • To take an active part in the recruitment of learners providing appropriate advice and guidance.
  • To deliver high quality teaching.
  • To support functional skills.
  • To actively develop and use new technology in teaching, learning and assessment.
  • To provide assignment and assessment material.
  • To produce lesson plans, individual learning plans and assessment schedules.
  • To evaluate and assess the work of learners.
  • To attend curriculum meetings.
  • To ensure safe working practices across the programme area.
