  • Maintain agreed standards for all café services.
  • Supervise staff in serving food, beverages, and confectionery.
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Food Hygiene, Consumer and Equality laws, including allergen control.
  • Oversee daily temperature checks and maintain the Safe Food Better Business diary.
  • Deliver and uphold barista coffee brand standards.
  • Work with the Catering Manager and Chef to ensure high-quality food production, correct portioning, recipe compliance, and supplier use.
  • Support the Chef in ensuring food is stored and sold safely.
  • Manage stock levels, place orders, oversee deliveries, and report shortages or quality issues.
  • Handle cash, meal cards, banking, and daily sales reporting; update tills and report issues.
  • Supervise cleaning of kitchen, counters, tables, and restaurant areas; ensure adherence to cleaning rotas.
  • Coordinate washing and storage of equipment, crockery, and cutlery.
  • Manage food and drink provision for buffets.

Qualifications & Requirements

To become a Catering Supervisor in our Catering department, we need someone who is experienced, patient and has the ability to work well in a team. Although this position is based at our Worcester campus, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.
