Role Summary
Support the Cafeteria department by providing food service, maintaining hygiene, customer service, and performing cashier duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Assisted with food preparation and basic cooking.
- Prepared and maintained dining and serving areas to a clean, presentable standard.
- Served food and drinks, including barista-style coffee.
- Ensured stock checks, rotation, replenishment; reported low stock and assisted with deliveries and stock takes.
- Provided friendly, attentive customer service to support learners' needs.
- Carried out cashier duties where required.
- Maintained high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety (including HACCP and allergen awareness).
- Followed health and safety regulations at all times.
- Opened/closed the service area when required.
- Undertook any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- Friendly and customer-service focused attitude.
- Experience in food preparation or hospitality preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and maintain hygiene standards.
- Ability to travel to different campus sites as required.
- Two satisfactory references.
- Required to complete a Disclosure & Barring Service check and other standard employment checks.
