WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
To become a Student Experience Coach in our Student Experience and Engagement department, we need someone who is experienced, patient and resilient.
The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities.

Although this position is based at our Redditch campus, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You will support in many aspects, to name a few
- Plan, coordinate and evaluate a diverse programme of enrichment, personal development and student engagement activities that support the College's strategic priorities.
- Lead on the organisation and delivery of key student events, including Freshers' Fair, Student Conference, charity events and health and wellbeing campaigns.
- Develop and coordinate student leadership and learner voice initiatives, including Student Ambassadors, Student Governors, focus groups and social action projects.
- Promote student participation, inclusion, active citizenship and community engagement through volunteering, enrichment and social action opportunities.
- Monitor, analyse and report on learner participation, engagement and impact, identifying opportunities to improve outcomes and increase involvement across all student groups.
- Support the implementation of the College's Personal Development, Inclusion, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Careers, Safeguarding and Prevent strategies.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external organisations, community partners and guest speakers to enhance student experiences.
- Manage allocated budgets effectively and ensure resources are used efficiently.
- Support College-wide events, open days and student elections as required.
- Champion equality, diversity, inclusion, wellbeing and safeguarding in all aspects of student engagement and enrichment activity.

Job Description
- AIMS AND PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To lead and coordinate meaningful learner participation activities that ensure learners influence decision‑making, contribute to continuous improvement and shape an inclusive college culture where all students feel safe, respected, valued and able to belong.
- To organise and promote a range of health and wellbeing campaigns and resources to raise awareness of relevant issues that impact on students and signpost to support.
- To support the development of Social Action plans and reporting using 'Good for me, Good for FE' initiative, acts of kindness and 'I will' campaign.
- To further develop focus group activities for identified cohorts of learners to support equality, diversity and inclusion objectives.
- To develop opportunities that enhance learners' character, confidence, resilience, independence, leadership skills, aspiration and readiness for their next steps in education, employment and adult life.
- To develop activities and resources to prepare learners for life in modern Britain, by equipping them to be responsible, respectful, active citizens who contribute positively to society, developing their understanding of fundamental British values and their understanding and appreciation of diversity.
- Develop enrichment activities aligned to the enrichment framework to enhance personal development and the learner experience.
- To support the delivery of the College Personal Development Strategy and Enrichment Framework through activities that promote character development, wellbeing, employability, leadership, active citizenship, cultural capital and preparation for adulthood.
- Managing the Hub space and creating and promoting inclusive, welcoming and psychologically safe environments where learners from all backgrounds, including vulnerable, disadvantaged and underrepresented groups, experience a strong sense of belonging and participation.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- To organise the College’s Freshers’ Fair in September of each year.
- To plan, coordinate and evaluate an annual programme of enrichment activities aligned to the College Enrichment Framework, THRIVE Tutorial Programme and Personal Development Strategy.
- To support and organise charity events throughout the year.
- To monitor and evaluate learner participation in enrichment activities and identify strategies to improve engagement amongst underrepresented learner groups.
- To coordinate social action, volunteering and community engagement activities that promote active citizenship, inclusion, sustainability and positive contribution to society.
- To ensure that the budget set aside for these purposes is efficiently spent and effectively monitored.
- To facilitate and oversee the provision of qualified guest speakers to deliver the health and wellbeing campaigns.
- To identify the recreational, social and cultural needs of students in order to facilitate their personal development.
Organise and promote a programme of activities to meet their identified needs.
- To maintain good order and discipline among the students and to safeguard their health and safety both on the College premises and when engaged in authorised College activities elsewhere.
- Promote good working relationships between the College and relevant external agencies.
- Supporting the development of Student Ambassadors.
- To develop student leadership opportunities including Student Ambassadors, Student Governors, focus groups, and social action projects.
