The Learning and Skills Coach supports the development of learners in the workplace and college environments, preparing them for work in the early years and childcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange appointments and visit employer premises to deliver training needs analysis, interviews, assessments, inductions, ILPs, progress reviews, training and assessment.
- Maintain learner files, reports and tracking systems with accurate, audit‑compliant administration.
- Arrange off‑site learning, skills development and testing where required.
- Ensure correct registration and compliance for externally accredited programmes.
- Deliver workplace assessment to awarding‑body standards and support internal verification.
- Develop tailored training programmes and innovative delivery models to meet employer needs.
- Maintain high standards of customer service through effective communication.
- Support employer engagement through marketing, promotional activities and networking meetings.
- Identify and recommend improvements to enhance provision.
- Undertake duties appropriate to the role and support continuous professional development.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified with relevant teaching or training credentials related to early years or adult skills development.
- Experience in delivering workplace or classroom‑based training to learners aged 16‑19 is desirable.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, equality, diversity and GDPR frameworks.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with evidence of audit‑compliant record keeping.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
- Willingness to travel to campuses and surrounding areas as required.
Work Hours and Location
29.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum. The role is based at Redditch and Worcester campuses but may require travel to other locations.
Salary
£28,200.80 – £30,404 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
