  • Job Responsibilities
  • Support recruitment, selection and onboarding processes, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Prepare and maintain HR documentation, including offer letters, contracts and employment records.
  • Provide basic HR advice and support to managers.
  • Carry out pre‑employment checks such as DBS checks and maintain compliance with safeguarding requirements.
  • Maintain HR records and registers, including the Single Central Register, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Process payroll amendments and respond to payroll and contract‑related queries.
  • Ensure all HR activities comply with GDPR and relevant employment policies.
  • Support HR projects and contribute to continuous professional development.
  • Comply with Health & Safety and Equality policies and undertake other reasonable duties as required.
  • General Accountabilities
  • Commit to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Participate in the College’s Performance Management Scheme and attend required training events.
  • Continue to improve teaching, learning and assessment through proactive CPD and sharing best practice.
  • Actively participate in the College’s Quality System, including quality improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • Undertake duties assigned commensurate with the grade and purpose of the post.
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of oneself and others affected by the work.
  • Support College Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity policies.
  • Operate and conduct all HR tasks and functions within the principles of GDPR.

Salary

£24,556 – £25,381 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Hours and Leave

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum.

The post carries 25 annual leave days, plus eight public bank holidays plus a further five concessionary days.

After 2 years continuous service, the annual leave entitlement increases to 30 days per annum.
