To become a Construction Technician in our Construction department, we need someone who is enthusiastic, organised and experienced. The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities. We are an inclusive community that champions diversity and equality across our college. Although this position is centred on our Redditch campus, applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations in construction/building services workshops.
- Clean and carry out routine equipment maintenance.
- Maintain safety equipment and follow safety procedures.
- Assist teaching staff with teaching aids and demonstrations.
- Supervise and support learner training.
- Set up and pack away workshop equipment.
- Order materials and manage stock levels.
- Complete Health & Safety tasks (risk assessments, COSHH).
- Support open days and events.
