What you’ll be doing:
- Teach Health & Social Care programmes (and possibly Early Years)
- Develop new courses in relevant subject areas
- Support student recruitment with advice and guidance
- Deliver high-quality teaching, including planning, assessment, and feedback
- Support learners to achieve their goals
- Integrate English and maths into teaching
- Use new technology in teaching and assessment
- Prepare and mark assignments and assessments
- Create lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning plans
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to quality improvement and attend meetings
- Maintain accurate student records and administrative systems
Qualifications:
- Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake and gain the Certificate in Education and Training within 2 years of appointment
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in both English and Maths
- Enhance DBS check, 2 references (one must be from current or most recent employer), and qualification validation check
- Experience in Health & Social Care teaching, with a passion for teaching and a commitment to student learning outcomes
- Knowledge of safeguarding, equality and diversity policies, and GDPR compliance
