What we are looking for
To become a HR Advisor in our Human Resources department, we need someone who is experienced, organised and motivated. The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities. Youβll support our busy HR department with day-to-day operations including Employee Relations and play a key role in delivering a great employee experience across the business.
We have a variety of students from the surrounding area, we are a welcoming and inclusive community that champions diversity and equality across our college.
Our departments collaborate to establish and uphold the inclusive HoW culture, we keep this in mind as we manage interactions with the public, fellow employees, and nearby schools.
Although this position is centred on our Redditch campus, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.
What you\βll be doing
To find a more detailed list of your day-to-day responsibilities, please refer to the key roles and accountabilities section on our Job Description. In summary, as someone who has a level 5 CIPD qualification or working towards, you will support in many aspects. To name a few:
- To provide guidance to managers and staff.
- To support managers with staff meetings.
- Supporting the HR Business Partner and Head of HR.
- Undertaking any project work as directed by the Head of HR.
- Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the Single Central Register (SCR).
- To respond to general queries and provide guidance to managers and staff.
- Ensuring compliance in the recruitment process.
- Keeping the HR database up to date
- To work flexibly and cover for staff absences and supporting other team members during peak periods of activity.
- To liaise with other members of staff when required.
