Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Consultant in our Solutions department who is skilled in communication, networking and sales strategies, and is proactive and adaptable.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed and accurate organisational and training needs analysis.
- Develop and submit cost‑effective training proposals to meet employer needs.
- Facilitate negotiations with employers regarding costs and fees.
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations and reports to groups and individuals.
- Contribute to the promotion of HoW College events, initiatives and campaigns.
- Collect market intelligence and feedback for the Employer Engagement Manager and VP Apprenticeships, Partnerships & Skills.
- Ensure timely and accurate administration of paperwork in line with audit requirements.
- Maintain up‑to‑date operational knowledge of eligibility criteria, funding rules and audit requirements.
- Provide high‑standard customer service through effective communication.
- Produce reports against targets and provide feedback to the Employer Engagement Manager.
- Attend college, school, employer events and promotional activities.
- Undertake regular sales and telesales activities to meet agreed targets.
- Capture feedback from employers and employees.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should have experience in business development or a related field, strong communication and networking skills, and the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
