About the role
Heart of Supply is preparing for a busy September and is looking for caring, proactive and experienced Teaching Assistants with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join our growing network of partner schools across Scunthorpe. From providing 1:1 support to working with small groups, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils with additional needs thrive both in and out of the classroom. What you will need:
- Experience supporting children in a school, nursery, or education-based setting
- Clear, professional communication and a proactive, reliable attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively with school staff
- A minimum of 6 weeks’ experience working with children in a similar setting in the UK
- A kind, confident, and calm approach, with a genuine passion for helping pupils succeed
- The ability to follow a teacher’s lead while using your initiative to support individuals and small groups
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
- A flexible and proactive attitude, ready to step into different classrooms and year groups
- A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification is helpful, but not essential if you have relevant experience
