We’re looking for Maths teachers who can step into classrooms and set the tone from the first moment. You’ll explain complex ideas clearly, manage behaviour effectively, and create structured, focused learning environments. Confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), adapting lessons for different abilities, and bringing your subject knowledge and professionalism will make a real impact.
About the school/us
At Heart of Supply we work in partnership with a wide network of welcoming, well-supported schools across Lincoln and the surrounding areas, including primary and secondary schools, academies, local authority provisions, and specialist SEND settings. Whether you’re passionate about early years, KS2, secondary education up to Year 13, or supporting pupils with additional needs, we’ll match you with schools that align with your skills and values. As a Heart of Supply educator, you’ll be part of a growing team that’s making a real difference in the classroom, gaining valuable experience across diverse environments.
What you will need
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with recent UK secondary Maths classroom experience
- Strong Maths subject knowledge and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 is desirable)
- Confident, consistent behaviour management in secondary settings
- Ability to build quick rapport with students and colleagues in a Maths classroom
- A proactive, adaptable approach with a genuine passion for teaching Maths
- At least 6 weeks’ UK teaching experience in secondary schools
