Contract: Flexible temporary roles (day-to-day, short-term and long-term)

Salary: £125-£232.57 per day (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications)

About the role

Heart of Supply are seeking Daily Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Newark and the surrounding areas. We’re looking for Primary Teachers with experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2, or those with experience across multiple key stages who would like to continue building their classroom experience through daily supply teaching. Working as a Daily Supply Teacher offers the flexibility to explore a variety of school settings while developing your skills and confidence as a classroom practitioner. You’ll support children across the school, gaining valuable experience in different year groups and learning environments. Whether you’re an experienced Primary Supply Teacher or newly qualified and eager to build confidence, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference while enjoying flexibility and variety in your working week.

What you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent classroom experience teaching in a UK primary school
  • Confidence planning and delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2, in line with the National Curriculum
  • A secure understanding of phonics, early reading and numeracy approaches, with the ability to adapt content to suit the needs of each class
  • Strong classroom management skills, creating a calm, positive, and inclusive environment where every child can succeed
  • A nurturing and encouraging approach, building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and school leaders
  • Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to quickly adapt to new school settings and routines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and approachable manner
