Role Overview
This pivotal role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute your nursing expertise on a flexible basis. As a Bank Registered Nurse, you will support our clinical team by delivering exceptional nursing care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at every stage of their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with hospice policies and professional standards.
- Assess patient needs and develop personalised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and record patient conditions, responding promptly to any changes or concerns.
- Administer medication safely and accurately, maintaining all necessary documentation.
- Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organisational policies, including safeguarding and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration.
- Previous experience in palliative or hospice care is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-centred approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by the bank contract.
- Competitive hourly rate of £18.04.
