Heart of Kent Hospice is looking for an ambitious, high energy Retail Operations Manager to lead the day to day performance of our charity retail estate of 14 shops. This is a hands on operational leadership role. You'll be visible in the shops, holding teams to account against clear targets and using our data‑led dashboards to drive sales, control costs and raise standards across the estate.
You will line manage all our Shop Managers and the Transport and Logistics Manager and work in close partnership with our Commercial Strategy and Insights Manager to turn strategy into consistent, profitable delivery on the ground.
Qualifications:
- Multi‑site retail management experience and accountability for sales across several locations
- A strong track record of delivering financial targets and managing an operating budget
- Confident, data‑driven decision-making; comfortable interrogating EPOS and dashboard reports and acting on them
- Real strength in leading and developing frontline teams, including managing managers
- The energy, ambition and drive to take our shops to the next level
- Charity retail experience and a working knowledge of Gift Aid, EPOS and volunteer‑led operations would be an advantage but if you haven't worked in charity retail, we'd still love to hear from you.
