Description
We are looking to appoint a BTEC Sport Educator who will be based at our Football Education Academy, Romulus in Birmingham. This is a full time role.

Description
We are looking to appoint a BTEC Sport Educator who will be based at our Football Education Academy, Romulus in Birmingham. This is a full time role.
The successful candidate will deliver education and assess learners, whilst developing learners\’ knowledge, skills and behaviours. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, friendly and adaptable, with excellent communication skills and high expectations.
Overall, we are looking for somebody with a sport background who is passionate about young people and education.
Salary: From £24,000 per annum (DOE)
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Agreeing an individual training programme with each learner
- Delivering education sessions
- Assessing and monitoring learners
- Developing learners\’ knowledge, skills and behaviours
- Ensuring learners complete their programme on-target
- Identifying and addressing gaps in achievement
- Maintaining a record of progress and achievement for each learner
Person Specification
Candidates without a particular qualification which we have listed as \’essential\’ need not be discouraged from applying if they are willing to undertake appropriate training in-post.
Essential
Experience –
- Industry related, minimum 3 years
- BTEC or equivalent in a sport subject
Qualifications
Essential:
- Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT
- CIAVA (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement)
- Safeguarding Level 1
This role will require a commitment to safeguarding and the postholder will undergo training for health & safety, safeguarding, prevent and EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) and GDPR.
Job Benefits

- Monday to Friday, 9.00am–4:30pm working hours (FT)
- 33 days holiday allowance (FT inc bank holidays) rising to 38 days after ‘time served’ period (PT holidays Pro Rata)
