We have an opportunity for an experienced, qualified and passionate Beauty Therapy Trainer/Educator to join the team full-time working at our Leicester site for learners aged 16‑19 studying hairdressing and beauty therapy full‑time programmes, as well as apprentices attending 'day release' training. The successful individual will be flexible, empathetic and reliable: a team‑player with excellent communication skills. This role will be based at our Rugby Academy. This role can be offered on a full‑time or part‑time basis.
Salary: From £26,000 per annum pro rata, dependent on qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Supporting students through to the successful conclusion of their chosen training programme
- SEN responsibilities
- Offer individual learner support where needed
- Teaching occupational skills to students
- Assessing students for competence in their qualification as required by the awarding body
- Ensuring students complete their training programme on target as agreed with the recruitment consultant and student, as detailed on the Individual Learning Plan
- Agreeing an individual training programme with each student, and monitoring this to ensure that the student is working to the targets agreed
- Training (or arranging training) for students to ensure they have sufficient competence to successfully complete their training programme
- Using appropriate lesson plans for teaching as determined by the Training Manager
- Identifying and addressing gaps in achievement
- Maintaining a record of progress and achievement for each student
- Giving constructive feedback on achievement and performance to students
- Meeting regularly for standardisation and training with other Assessors and/or Internal Verifiers

- Monday to Friday, 9.00 am–4.30 pm working hours, 30 mins unpaid lunch break (ft)
- Work pattern: 35 hours per week (ft)
- 33 days holiday allowance (ft inc bank holidays) rising to 38 days after 'time served' period (pt holidays pro rata)
- Birthday holiday day after 'time served' period
