Do you want to tackle one of the biggest problems of our time while expanding financial access for communities on the frontlines of climate change? We’re working with a Fintech / Climate mission-driven startup that’s building the financial infrastructure to channel climate finance directly to underserved regions globally. They are assembling a world-class engineering team to solve significant problems, with high autonomy and high ownership.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build a high-performance core banking/financial infrastructure.
- Integrate with payment and verification providers (MRV tools).
- Design scalable systems with rapid iteration in mind.
- Work closely with customers and the field—this is not a desk-only job.
- Help establish a culture grounded in pragmatism, scientific thinking, and collaboration.
About You:
- STEM degree from a top university.
- 3+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong with JVM-based languages.
- Deep Postgres knowledge (e.g. partitioning, replication, GIST indexes).
- Familiar with AWS/cloud infrastructure.
- Startup or FinTech experience strongly preferred.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in the climate/carbon ecosystem.
- Experience building ledgers, balances, or payment systems.
