The Central Production Team at Hearst UK is seeking a Producer to support the delivery of editorial and commercial video and stills content across multiple brands. This role manages productions end-to-end - from pitch support and pre-production through to delivery - acting as a central point of coordination between editorial, video, commercial and external partners. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and confident managing multiple projects at once. You will be expected to take ownership of your productions, anticipate issues early, uphold high production standards and ensure shoots and deliveries run smoothly. You must have a strong creative eye, a clear understanding of our brands' visual identities and tone of voice, and the ability to adapt your approach across different disciplines and commercial requirements.
Main Duties
- Manage editorial and commercial shoots end-to-end from pitch support to final delivery.
- Scope and manage budgets, schedules and logistics.
- Prepare all production documents and handle bookings and negotiations for crew, locations, studios, suppliers and talent (including usage and contracts).
- Oversee post-production admin including invoices and reconciliations.
- Act as a point of contact across editorial, video, art, commercial project management and clients.
- Lead clear briefings and keep all parties aligned on deliverables, timelines and budgets.
- Manage feedback cycles to ensure responses are timely and actionable.
- Maintain a strong understanding of brand identities and audience expectations.
- Quality-check edits before internal or client review.
- Recommend formats, approaches and platform requirements during pitch development.
- Anticipate roadblocks and flag solutions early.
- Ensure consistent operational standards across every production.
- Support projects across all brands when needed.
- Contribute to the improvement of production processes and workflow.
What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrable experience producing video and stills shoots across editorial and/or commercial environments.
- Strong organisational and project-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear, confident communicator able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing deadlines.
- Good understanding of social and platform-specific content performance and technical requirements.
- Strong creative eye and ability to maintain brand tone and visual identity across all content.
- Experience using production and workflow tools (Smartsheet, JIRA, Trello, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload.
- Practical video production skills - lighting, camera operation, basic editing, media/file management and general technical understanding - are highly desirable and considered a significant advantage.
