House of Hearst, 30 Panton Street, St James's, London, SW1Y 4AJ , where teams collaborate in person and connect across brands and functions.

Salary - Circa £35,000 - Salary is dependent on experience and will be assessed in line with the candidate's skills, knowledge relevant expertise

The Role…

As the Junior Video Editor, you will play a key role in creating high-quality, platform-native video content across Hearst UK’s portfolio of premium brands.

Working closely with producers, editors, journalists, directors and art directors, you’ll edit a broad range of content, from branded partnerships and social-first campaigns to editorial formats and premium commercial productions ensuring every piece is engaging, on-brand and delivered to the highest standard.

You’ll take ownership of your edits from brief through to final delivery, using sound creative judgement to solve problems, refine narratives and elevate every project.

You’ll bring stories to life through pace, music, graphics, colour and sound, creating content that resonates with audiences across multiple platforms.

The role requires a strong understanding of how video performs across different channels, with audience insights and performance data used to inform creative decisions, maximise engagement and continually improve output.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a confident editor who enjoys collaborating with talented creative teams, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing exceptional content.

Main Duties…

  • Edit a diverse range of premium video content across Hearst UK’s brands, including editorial features, social-first content, branded partnerships, events and commercial campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, journalists, directors, art directors and commercial teams to translate creative briefs into compelling video content.
  • Take ownership of projects from ingest through to final delivery, ensuring all edits meet creative, technical and brand standards.
  • Shape engaging stories through strong pacing, narrative structure, music, sound design and motion graphics.
  • Create platform-optimised edits tailored for Tik Tok, Instagram, You Tube, Facebook and emerging digital channels.
  • Apply colour correction, audio balancing and quality control to ensure a polished, broadcast-quality finish.
  • Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, prioritising deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Use audience insights and video performance data to refine creative decisions, improve engagement and inform future content.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Video and Editorial teams to contribute ideas, support productions and continually improve creative output.
  • What We Are Looking For…
  • Proven experience editing high-quality video content using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, with experience using Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design.
  • Previous experience creating content for consumer-facing (B2C) brands, publishers, agencies or media organisations.
  • A strong understanding of video storytelling, pacing, structure and visual narrative.
  • Excellent knowledge of platform-specific editing styles and best practice across Tik Tok, Instagram, Meta and You Tube.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • A collaborative approach, with the confidence to work closely with creative and editorial stakeholders across the business.
  • Curious, proactive and eager to learn new techniques, trends and technologies within digital video production.
