The Role… As the Creative Producer, you will develop and produce original video content across our portfolio of iconic brands, including Cosmopolitan UK, ELLE UK, Harper's Bazaar UK, Esquire UK, Men's Health UK, Good Housekeeping UK and more. We're looking for someone who understands how audiences consume content on YouTube, and who is passionate about creating entertainment-led formats that people actively choose to watch and come back to. This isn't a traditional producer role. We're looking for someone who can originate ideas, shape compelling formats, work confidently with celebrity talent, and collaborate closely with editors throughout the production process to maximise audience engagement. You'll be involved from the earliest stages of ideation through development, production and post-production, helping create content that grows audiences organically across our brands.
Main Duties…
- Develop original video concepts and repeatable formats for YouTube.
- Generate ideas that are driven by audience insight, platform behaviour and cultural trends.
- Create treatments, pitch documents and production plans for new formats.
- Produce shoots featuring celebrity talent, creators and experts across Hearst UK's brands.
- Work closely with editorial teams to ensure content reflects each brand's voice while remaining platform-first.
- Lead productions on location and in studio, managing contributors, schedules and creative execution.
- Write interview structures, games, challenges and editorial beats that create engaging, shareable moments.
- Collaborate closely with editors during post-production, shaping narrative, pacing, thumbnails, titles and overall creative direction.
- Use performance data to refine formats and continuously improve future content.
- Stay on top of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and emerging platform trends, bringing new ideas back into the team.
What we’re looking for…
- Proven experience producing high-performing YouTube or social-first content that builds engaged audiences.
- Strong creative instincts with a clear understanding of what drives clicks, watch time and shares.
- Experience developing original entertainment-led concepts, not just executing briefs.
- Confidence working with celebrity talent, publicists, production teams and press junkets.
- Experience leading projects from concept through production and post-production.
- Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, audience retention, analytics and platform best practice.
- Experience collaborating with editors to shape engaging final cuts, including thumbnail and headline strategies.
- Excellent organisational, communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously.
- Collaborative, proactive and willing to experiment, iterate and test new ideas.
- Experience producing content for premium publishers, broadcasters, digital publishers or creator-led channels.
- Experience working with creators, digital-first talent, branded content and commercial partnerships.
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere or similar editing software.
If you're passionate about creating ambitious, audience-first video that reaches millions of viewers, we'd love to hear from you.
