The primary objective of the Commerce Partnerships Manager is to drive growth in Affiliate revenues through negotiating competitive Affiliate deals with top revenue driving merchants, and by establishing and executing eCommerce strategies with the editorial team. You will also be responsible for leading negotiations on Affiliate Tenancies, Awards and Shopping Event partnerships across multiple verticals.

Main Duties:

  • Define and execute vertical-level strategies to deliver Affiliate campaigns against brand and business goals.
  • Lead relationships with key Affiliate merchants and retailers within multiple verticals, optimising commission rates and performance metrics to drive revenue growth.
  • Lead on data analysis and interpretation within the team. Use network platforms and analytics tools to analyse content performance, use this data to inform internal and optimisation recommendations and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead growth on Affiliate tenancy, negotiate and manage tenancy deals with key partners, working towards the attainment of competitive growth targets.
  • Identify diversification opportunities with regards to Shopping events, sell and execute these event partnerships with key partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of key eCommerce traffic streams, working closely with the audience development and editorial teams to ensure growth and efficiency of key channels for eCommerce.
  • Work strategically with editorial to ensure all evergreen and seasonally relevant content is fully optimised on a regular basis, making recommendations on linking and product/merchant positioning.
  • Lead on monthly & quarterly ecommerce reporting to the business.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 3-4 years’ experience working in the Affiliate Marketing industry.
  • Strong understanding of Affiliate Marketing and Affiliate Tenancy in the digital media industry specifically.
  • Strong sales skills and ability to sell complex commercial packages to senior stakeholders.
  • Detailed Knowledge of Hearst’s brand portfolio and editorial values.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills, ability to meet deadlines and respond proactively.
  • High level Excel and data analysis capabilities, ability to spot trends and anomalies in multiple data sets, as well as reporting capabilities.
  • Detailed and comprehensive understanding of key Affiliate performance indicators such as Earnings Per Click, Cost Per Acquisition, Cost Per Click.
  • Confidence when presenting data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well as a team and contribute to the wider business strategy.
