The Role…
The Account Executive owns the pre-sale stage—including request-for-proposal reception and interrogation, media strategy creation via centralized multi-market planning—and the reporting stage at end-of-campaign for global opportunities across Hearst\’s digital portfolio. The role involves supporting campaign strategy, overseeing execution, especially for the French & Swiss client territory (language skills required), and maintaining communication with sales teams and clients, as well as nurturing relationships with Hearst’s publishers worldwide.
Main Duties…
Ongoing:
- Support agency/client and internal sales teams, being the first point of contact
- Manage opportunities in pipeline, updating regularly
- Maintain knowledge of local publishers’ offerings, innovations, and case studies
- Proactively enable sales teams to add value for clients
Pre-Sale:
- Collaborate with sales to interpret the advertiser’s brief and gather all necessary information
- Participate in brainstorms to align campaign ideas with strategy
- Propose suitable products, advise on costs, feasibility, and past performance
- Ensure all client requests are met with comprehensive knowledge of Hearst products
- Coordinate with syndication and production teams for bespoke costs
- Attend sales meetings to support and drive targets
- Update team leads and escalate issues as needed
Campaign Management:
- Deliver excellent client service, exceeding expectations
- Build long-term relationships through regular communication
- Manage campaign lifecycle, liaising with stakeholders and optimizing delivery
- Report progress and insights to clients
- Coordinate with paid media teams for amplification strategies
- Brief internal teams to ensure clarity on deliverables
- Support digital initiatives for stakeholders
- Ensure finance documentation is accurate and timely
Post Campaign:
- Review and enhance campaign reports, identify upsell opportunities
- Analyze and present campaign insights to sales and clients
