The Good Housekeeping Institute has been the beating heart of the Good Housekeeping brand for over 100 years. In our state‑of‑the‑art testing facility in West London, we put thousands of products to the test every year, rigorously reviewing them against their claims, so our readers know they can trust our recommendations.

Work closely with colleagues to test Home products, familiarising with testing protocols and processes. Products may include vacuums, blenders, detergents, etc. Eventually work independently when leading a testing project, managing all phases of product testing for a full category. Participate in internal meetings with key stakeholders from editorial, digital, and commercial teams, sharing feedback on testing results and learnings. Be based at our test facility in Feltham 4 days a week (minimum).

Main Duties

  • Test products as part of the GHI Homes Testing team, following the agreed content calendar and Accreditation requirements.
  • Analyse results and add them to our product database.
  • Sustain high testing standards and consistency.
  • Check editorial proofs and artwork for accuracy, process and stockists.
  • Demonstrate practical skills and keen interest in home appliance products.
  • Be computer and AI‑literate.
  • Maintain excellent interpersonal skills when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Show strong organisational and time‑management skills; multitask and solve problems.
  • Work independently or as part of a team.
  • Handle high volumes of work accurately and meet deadlines.
  • Exhibit a can‑do attitude, work under pressure, and be enthusiastic and proactive.
  • Act as an ambassador to the Good Housekeeping brand, including leading tours of the GHI Institute.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, current affairs, breaking news, key conferences and general outreach.
