Hearst UK operates a hybrid working model of four days per week in the office and one day working from home. Our office is based at House of Hearst, 30 Panton Street, St James’s, London, SW1Y 4AJ, where teams collaborate in person and connect across brands and functions.
The Role: As a Digital Analyst, you will help turn data into clear, actionable insight that supports smarter decisions across our digital brands. Working as part of a collaborative Data, Analytics and Insights team, you’ll analyse performance, build reports and help teams understand how audiences engage with our content and products. You’ll partner closely with editorial, customer, commercial and product stakeholders, gaining exposure to a wide range of digital channels while developing your technical and analytical skills in a fast‑paced media environment.
Main Duties:
- Support the analysis of digital performance data to help understand audience behaviour, traffic sources, content engagement, video usage and e-commerce activity.
- Assist stakeholders across editorial, audience growth, customer and commercial teams by answering business questions and helping track performance against agreed goals.
- Build and maintain dashboards and regular reports to ensure teams have clear visibility of key performance metrics.
- Help ensure data accuracy by following defined measurement frameworks and reporting standards.
- Use automation and AI tools to streamline reporting and improve efficiency, with guidance from senior team members.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing insights, learning from colleagues and supporting wider analytics initiatives.
What We Are Looking For:
- Some experience in digital analytics, ideally within media, publishing, or another data‑led environment.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Google Analytics 4 and dashboarding platforms (e.g. Looker or Looker Studio).
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills, with experience querying and analysing datasets (experience with BigQuery is a plus).
- Understanding of digital tracking and tagging principles, with an interest in how data is collected and structured.
- Ability to present data clearly and explain insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
- Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
