Hearst Networks is looking for a Freelance Creative to bring fresh energy, bold new ideas, and some social media savvy to our upcoming Rugby campaign for our channel - Blaze. You must have strong broadcast promo experience and in-depth knowledge of Rugby Union, with the ability to craft compelling, high-impact campaigns for sports audiences. This is a temporary freelance role. We anticipate the project starting within the next couple of weeks and potentially running through to the end of August. We expect to require support on a full-time basis (5 days per week) for the duration of the project. Some in-office collaboration days will be required in our Hammersmith office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with a small in-house team of Creatives, the Creative Director, and VP of Creative, you will ideate concepts for On-air, Social and Key Art that will promote the broadcast of Champ Rugby on Blaze.
  • Confidently present proposed creative routes to Marketing.
  • Work alongside our Social Team to create assets for digital and social promotion.
  • Direct any agreed shoots with Champ Rugby players and key figures.
  • Be a noisy and disruptive force creatively challenging the norm and coming up with ideas that answer the brief in a stand-out way.
  • You must be highly organised with the ability to manage a series of deadlines at once.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following competencies:

Minimum Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of Rugby Union and sports promotion.
  • A strong sports reel to support your application.
  • Evidence of being a strong ideas generator with passions for writing, creativity, design and television.
  • Good communication skills, happy to get involved in creative and marketing challenges.
  • Excellent knowledge of production tools in editing and digital media, with an understanding of how to operate the Premier Pro editing system.
