Well you’re in luck! We are excited to be looking for another member to join our Media Planning team at Hearst Networks EMEA and might have just the role for you.
Media Planning is a core part of the broader Marketing department and is about strategically communicating with our audience to ensure they find the content they love; creating awareness of the latest TV programmes or products we are launching. We manage our biggest owned Marketing resource: promo airtime.
We\’re looking for a Media Planning Co-ordinator who will be responsible for creating and delivering promo plans for Hearst Networks channels both in the UK and Internationally.
This is an entry level role with a training and development plan in place, to gain Media Planning expertise and progress your Media Planning career.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract position. This role will be hybrid based in the London office, working on exciting, award-winning brands like Sky HISTORY and Crime+Investigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create coherent media plans based on sound strategic reasoning and historical data; asking questions such as: how many viewers do we need to reach with this campaign? Who is our target audience? How many times do they need to see it before they understand, and are excited by, our content?
- Monitor our available promotional inventory and track campaign performance against targets. Present updates on this regularly in meetings and via email
- Evaluate campaigns to ensure objectives were met, and any learnings are adopted for the future
- Collaborate with our Media Planning partners at Sky to identify cross-promotion opportunities and engage them with our content
- Work closely with the Presentation team, clearly communicating the campaign targets and if any adjustments are needed during a campaign to ensure it meets its goal
- Commission all relevant assets for your campaign e.g. promos, bumpers, idents etc. Working closely with the Creative and Production teams to ensure they have all the correct information to create these assets
- Provide support to the wider Media Planning team and Marcomms department across relevant projects and ad-hoc work

Minimum Requirements:
- A passion for the TV industry and eagerness to build a career in Media Planning
- Strong communication skills: able to convey complex information clearly and engagingly
- Confident working with numbers and data, with good attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Sound editorial judgement
- Experience managing workload; working across multiple projects and deadlines
Desirable Requirements:
- Awareness of On-Air communication styles
- Awareness of Marketing terminology
- Knowledge of Hearst Networks programming
- Experience using TechEdge or similar system
