We are seeking an Insights & Analytics Manager to join us on a maternity cover contract, supporting the VP, Insights & Analytics. This role is responsible for managing channel performance analysis and advancing cross platform reporting, to provide insight that drives business growth.
The Insights & Analytics team is committed to sourcing and imparting the most relevant, objective and compelling information on our brands’ performance across platforms, measured against our nearest competitors and the industry as a whole. Our natural curiosity and obsession for all things TV ideally place us to be the central information hub of Hearst Networks UK. Good quality and strategic insight informs all key decisions in our business.
This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract position (12 months). This role will be hybrid based, in the London office at least 3 days a week, working on exciting, award-winning brands like Sky HISTORY and Crime+Investigation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a wide range of research requests on channel and programme ratings, with ownership of linear performance reporting for UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Nordics, South Africa.
- Partner with Programming, Marketing, Creative, Finance, Commercial and Ad-Sales teams to deliver timely, actionable insight on channels, brands and audiences.
- Rationalise and streamline channel reporting, identifying opportunities to automate and improve efficiency while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Support the VP, Insights & Analytics, with forecasting, commercial analysis, budget tracking and material for senior leadership level queries and reports.
- Collaborate with the Director, Senior Analyst and wider Insights & Analytics team to connect linear and digital data, enhancing cross-platform reporting for strategic decision making.
- Maintain and evolve databases and regular reports to track performance for international channels and key programme acquisitions and commissions.
- Manage a Senior Research Executive and Research Intern, ensuring high-quality output, professional development, and effective workload prioritisation.

- 5+ years’ experience working within a Research and Insights role.
- Proven experience with UK channel ratings analysis (i.e BARB) and working on other international TV ratings within EMEA.
- Proficient in Advantedge (Techedge).
- Advanced user of Excel & Powerpoint.
- Experience managing multiple projects for multiple stakeholders, with the ability to prioritise and manage expectations across the organisation.
- Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
- Ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Confidence in working cross-functionally with programming, marketing, commercial and finance teams.
- Takes initiative and drives projects forward with minimal supervision.
- A passion for TV, media and programming!
- Experience of managing at least 2 direct reports.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Experience in being part of performance forecasting & modelling.
- Experience of working with non-linear performance metrics (e.g. VOD, FAST).
