The Production Associate Editor will work across print in the Entertainment Portfolio, collaborating with editors and being responsible for generating flat plans, changes throughout the week, and ensuring workflow targets are hit so print schedules and standards are adhered to. Learn the brand house styles and tone of both print magazines. Cover checks, ensure legal changes are taken in and spelling is correct both here and in the editor's letters. The Ents department produces bookazines, and the successful candidate will be responsible for organising cover when needed.
Main Duties
- Assisting brand editors/leads in creating and updating flat plans for print products.
- Working closely with brand teams to ensure copy moves through production systems as efficiently as possible to meet print deadlines.
- Liaising with brand editors, plus art and pictures team colleagues at regular production meetings or when needed.
- Maintaining and updating brand's style guides, plus supporting documentation such as how-to guides.
- To be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values.
- You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time.
