The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small but dynamic digital team as Multiplatform Editor for Red. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the brand\’\’s digital content strategy, ensuring that every piece of content delivers on traffic growth, engagement, and e-commerce potential.

Main Duties

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of Red\’\’s website across news, fashion, features, and SEO.
  • Writing, commissioning, and editing standout content with a consistent and engaging tone of voice.
  • Publishing Red\’\’s twice-weekly newsletter and driving its growth.
  • Playing a pivotal role in executing the Love Red membership offering and delivering brand plans.
  • Using analytics and insights to shape and accelerate strategy, ensuring monthly targets are achieved.
  • Collaborating with the SEO team to maximise traffic across all content pillars.
  • Working with central Hearst hubs to repurpose content effectively with SEO, engagement, and e-commerce in mind.
  • Ensuring factual accuracy and legal compliance across all copy.
  • Forecasting and capitalising on digital trends to grow the brand\’\’s audience.
  • Helping develop and manage Red\’\’s redesigned app offering.
  • Growing Red\’\’s β€œknown” audience data pool.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Hearst UK and its values.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven track record at senior level within a digital editorial brand.
  • An enthusiastic self-starter who thrives under pressure and can juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong instinct for stories that will generate clicks and engagement, with the ability to write and edit at speed.
  • Confident using data and tools such as Google Analytics to inform and optimise content strategy.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO and e-commerce, and how to deliver both traffic growth and revenue through excellent UX.
  • A thorough understanding of social platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) and how to use them to build audience and brand presence.
