In this role you create platform-native video for Hearst UK’s premium brands, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging, on-brand content.
You’ll shape narratives with pacing, music, and graphics, and use audience data to refine outputs across editorial and commercial work.
The position blends hands-on editing with problem-solving to elevate storytelling for social, editorial, and branded campaigns.

Responsibilities
- Edit diverse premium video content for editorial, social, brand partnerships, events, and campaigns across Hearst UK brands
- Collaborate with producers, journalists, directors, art directors and commercial teams to translate briefs into compelling videos
- Own projects from ingest to final delivery, ensuring they meet creative, technical and brand standards
- Shape stories with pacing, narrative structure, music, sound design and motion graphics
- Create platform-optimised edits for Tik Tok, Instagram, You Tube, Facebook and emerging channels
- Apply colour correction, audio balancing and quality control for broadcast-quality finishes
- Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Use audience insights and performance data to refine creative decisions and improve engagement
- Collaborate with Video and Editorial teams to support productions and improve output
- Key requirements
- Proven experience editing high-quality video with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Working knowledge of After Effects; experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design
- Experience creating content for consumer-facing brands, publishers, agencies or media organisations
- Strong understanding of video storytelling, pacing and visual narrative
- Knowledge of platform-specific editing styles for Tik Tok, Instagram, Meta and You Tube
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Collaborative approach with stakeholders across the business
