The Senior Customer Marketing & Planning Manager (10-month FTC) is a key role within the Customer Marketing team, responsible for driving the marketing success of Beauty Boxes, Made Club and the Country Living Marketplace. This role leads the development and execution of strategic product marketing plans, supporting product launches, ongoing campaigns and long-term growth. It plays a critical role in maximising product visibility, strengthening customer acquisition and increasing revenue across both B2C and B2B audiences.
A key focus of the role is managing both consumer marketing for the Country Living Marketplace and B2B marketing for the Artisan Collective, the membership programme designed for independent businesses and makers. The role also leads marketing for Made Club, Hearst’s paid membership community for crafting and creativity, as well as Hearst’s growing Beauty Box portfolio, including the ELLE Beauty Advent Calendar.
Working closely with cross‑functional teams including editorial, creative, customer insight and commercial teams, the role ensures campaigns are effectively planned, executed and continuously optimised based on performance and insight. This role provides an excellent opportunity to lead end‑to‑end product marketing across multiple revenue streams, combining strategic planning, creative execution and performance optimisation within a fast‑growing area of the business.
Main Duties- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with overall business objectives to drive product sales, customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Define clear product positioning and messaging that communicates value propositions, features and benefits to target audiences.
- Use customer insight, market research and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Support the development of new digital sales channels to expand audience reach and drive incremental revenue.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across online and offline channels to drive product awareness, demand generation and conversion.
- Lead the creation of marketing assets including email campaigns, newsletters, banners, print pages and paid social creatives.
- Coordinate campaign delivery across internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in messaging and execution.
- Manage end‑to‑end campaign execution for key areas including Beauty Boxes, Made Club and Country Living Marketplace.
- Analyse campaign performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Manage and implement robust testing plans across owned and paid channels to continuously improve performance.
- Use data and insights to refine targeting, messaging and channel strategy.
- Share learnings and recommendations to inform future marketing activity.
- Drive B2C marketing for the Country Living Marketplace to increase traffic, engagement and sales.
- Lead B2B marketing for the Artisan Collective, supporting acquisition and retention of artisan members.
- Manage marketing activity for Made Club, supporting membership growth following its recent rebrand.
- Lead marketing for Hearst’s Beauty Box portfolio, including flagship launches such as the ELLE Beauty Advent Calendar.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams including editorial, creative, commercial and customer insight teams.
- Ensure alignment between marketing activity and wider business objectives.
- Support broader Customer Team initiatives and contribute to overall marketing effectiveness.
- Act as an ambassador for Hearst UK and its values.
- Proven experience in product marketing, campaign management or customer marketing, ideally within a media, e‑commerce or subscription‑based business.
- Experience developing and delivering multi‑channel marketing campaigns across owned and paid channels.
- Strong experience using marketing, planning and reporting tools, with the ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
