The Role
Reporting into HearstMade’s Commercial and Marketing Design Lead, HearstMade’s Freelance Junior Designer is responsible for the execution and delivery of commercial and marketing content across all Hearst brands. You will design across multiple platforms - digital, print, social, video and events - and be able to translate briefs into highly creative visual content. Conceptualise ideas for high-quality designs across digital, print, social and video platforms. Create design assets for commercial content campaigns that meet client objectives while upholding the creative vision of each Hearst brand. Execute brilliant multi-platform marketing campaigns for the marketing team, on time and with excellent attention to detail. Oversee and own bigger and more complex design projects, addressing challenging situations with minimal guidance. Provide mentorship to junior designers within the team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment and providing guidance on design principles, industry trends, and project execution. Proactively come up with ideas to streamline processes and enhance the team's overall productivity, taking accountability for team deliverables and motivating others. Build strong relationships with other teams across the business, leading conversations where people may have conflicting views and helping them work towards a shared solution. Prioritise and process design tasks efficiently, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality. Share design insights and creative best practice with the wider HearstMade team to boost content performance. You are required to be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values.
