As a highly skilled and hungry New Business, you will help us scout for new clients that can help us to hit our big business ambitions! In this role, you’ll help deliver additional outreach and play a key part in winning over new clients to help us hit our JUICY annual targets. We’re seeking someone who can add creative flair to our approaches and assets, while capturing the playful personality of the agency.

Acting as a bridge between New Business, we’d love you to get stuck in and ensure our content and marketing activities are in tip‑top shape to help feed our New Business pipeline. The role will involve traditional New Business responsibilities, such as industry research, tailored outreach, maintaining our client database, responding to inbound inquiries, and keeping the team updated on relevant news, industry insights, and opportunities. It’s a brilliant (and rare) opportunity to take on a role that fosters creativity, personality, and a passion for New Business in equal measures.

WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH: Internal: Day‑to‑day, you’ll report to the Senior New Business Manager, who will be responsible for establishing the long‑term goals and strategy for the Senior New Business function, as well as assisting with daily outreach, targets, and tracking. They’ll be on standby to support you with training, onboarding, establishing your KPIs and targets—and, more importantly, be a buddy for any support or guidance you may need. Alongside the New Business Manager, you’ll also have the opportunity to work closely with our fabulous Founder (Kez) who’s deeply involved with the New Business function and will share their tips, tricks, and knowledge as well as Growth Director Erika who is a fountain of knowledge and keeps systems and processes well aligned to gain the results we need!

External: The role will also offer plenty of opportunities to connect with our fantastic clients and potential prospects via briefing calls, in‑person meetings, pitches, events, and more.

WHAT'S EXPECTED: Your duties will include but not be limited to the below:

  • Manage new business requests across Heaps + Stacks – looping in relevant teams for ones that qualify and maintaining a great experience for those that don’t.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to actively look for new opportunities within the industry to ensure smooth and successful transition from prospect to lead.
  • Meet your weekly/monthly outreach targets for new prospects to help achieve the agency’s long‑term growth targets.
  • Assist with the day‑to‑day upkeep of our CRM database to stay engaged with clients continuously.
  • Track leads per week and other new business KPIs to ensure we are on track.
  • Annual resetting of KPIs created collaboratively with the leadership team.
  • Pitching to a selection of brand‑new clients each week.
  • Working with Creative to produce lead magnets and proactive pitches as a ‘hook’.
  • Be on the pulse of new business enquiries leads – and be checking in with all warm leads quarterly sharing our most recent creds deck with them.
  • Helping to organise and diarise new business meetings and events throughout the year.
  • Be an ambassador for the Heaps + Stacks brand – showcasing our service offerings at face-to-face – at live events, client meetings, on calls, etc.
  • Support with credentials presentations and case studies.
  • Reporting to the wider team on weekly leads and any exciting conversations.
  • Encouraging new business to be a part of the business culture and teaching and supporting the wider team with integrating this into their roles.

ADMINISTRATION:

  • Facilitating and filing for NDA, company info for RFI and delivery of pitch documents when required.
  • Managing the process of getting set up with new clients and any documentation they require.
  • Ensuring the metric trackers are kept up to date and meeting notes and actions are accurately captured and monitored.
  • Manage and maintain new business client database of leads, trackers and CRM system so we have accurate records of all opportunities and conversion metrics.
  • Research new platforms or services we can use to help automate our new biz and marketing operations.
  • Strategies, implement, and oversee processes for increased productivity and growth.
  • Reporting to the wider business on new biz and marketing updates and successes.
  • Work with managers to develop long‑term strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain a tidy, clean office environment and support with marketing contributions and financial administration as required.

SALARY & TIME COMMITMENT: This role is predominately office based (we imagine at least 2/3rds of your time would be in the office) and we are ideally looking for someone to work full time. Salary would range between £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience, plus additional commission scheme. Please note we review salary regularly to make sure the team move in line with the business as well as their individual efforts!

MORE ABOUT YOU: Goal orientated and track record of delivering against set targets within key selling windows. Hungry, passionate and very eager to get new leads. A winning mentality and positive energy to succeed. Proven experience with business and strategy development processes. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Performs under pressure, dependable, reliable – a “safe pair of hands.” Practice discretion and confidentiality in all elements of your work. Undertakes any request with positivity and professionalism. Outstanding poise in a fast‑paced business environment. Strong capabilities with databases and CRM information systems software. Prior industry experience and up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant trends.

WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE DONE BEFORE: To be considered for this position we are looking for candidates with 4 years min experience working as a Business Development Executive or relevant role at a similar creative business.

WHY JOIN US? Collaboration – As pretty much all of our projects include site visits, handling of physical items, deliveries and face to face brainstorms, we recommend 2‑3 days in the office per week for collaboration, to get the best results. Tuesdays are days we ask people to come in, and we’ve realised that 2‑3 days per week in the office is the average that people come in and that works well. Flexi Working Times– The team can work their 7.5 hours with a start and finish that suits them. This is completely up to the teammate to decide on their own accord, but of course altered working hours must not disrupt the wider team or the paying client. Meeting Free Fridays – This is to give the team time to wrap up their work as well as a good amount of time, uninterrupted, to get stuck into deep work. Training – We are proud to offer training to all teammates including group training days with varying themes and topics, as well as offering teammates further training to upskill for the maximum value of £500 per year. Duvet Days – Our team have 2 duvet days per year. A duvet day can be taken whenever a teammate needs a day off at random and they haven’t already requested annual leave. Maybe they have just woken up and feel like they need to be alone or they are super tired and just want to curl up on the sofa. These days are for the team member. Volunteering Day – We offer teammates up to 2 days per year of volunteering on company time – which is up to the teammate to use how they wish. Holiday – We offer 28 days annual leave per year. With 3 days of this holiday entitlement to cover the period of the Company shutdown between Christmas and New Year. After a teammate has completed two years working at Heaps + Stacks, they are entitled to 1 day extra holiday per year for each additional year of service, capped at a maximum of 33 days holiday per year (excluding Bank Holiday and National Holidays). After three years of service with Heaps + Stacks, team members are entitled to a one off, £1000 bonus. After five years of service with Heaps + Stacks, we offer team members the opportunity to take a one month fully paid sabbatical. Mobile Phone Allowance – Each month we will pay £20 towards the team members mobile phone bill. There’s nothing that they need to do; this will be added into their pay each month. Maternity / Paternity – We will pay enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption pay if the team member meets the relevant criteria. Expensed Gallery Trips – We offer each team member £25.00 to expense for a visit to a gallery or exhibition every month. Good Egg – At the end of the month the team votes who has gone above and beyond that month, and whoever receives the most votes is rewarded with a Selfridges voucher. Work Abroad – Up to one week per year to work abroad, as long as it doesn’t cause stress to the team! (Full T&Cs to be confirmed if successful). You Move, We move – We want our team to feel settled. So, if they are moving house, they can book one van per year on us! (Full T&Cs to be confirmed if successful). Quarterly Celebration – Every quarter, we will be celebrating our successes together as a team. This might be a team trip to the pub, or an arty or active activity! We have an in‑house social committee that is dedicated to ensuring something fun and magical is planned for us all! Bonus & Profit Share – We also offer a range of bonuses to employees including introduction, business performance and new business bonus. Full T&Cs will be given to all successful candidates. H + S Library – Buy a book on the gold card (this can be audio or hard copy) for the value of up to £20. If it’s a hard copy, please bring it into the office once finished. We suggest buying 2nd hand (to save the world!). If it’s audio, don’t sign up for a subscription! Cycle to Work – The cycle‑to‑work scheme allows teammates to obtain commuter bikes and cycling accessories through Heaps + Stacks, spreading the cost over 12 months and making savings through a tax break. Health Care – Once the teammate has completed 1 year with us, they can access the healthcare policy provided by Bupa! Eye Test – We offer a free annual eye test up to £25. Team members can visit any optician and claim back the cost for the eye test on expenses (glasses excluded).
