A growing and well-established organisation is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join its finance team on a fixed-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure within a fast-paced business environment while supporting key financial processes.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the preparation of financial information and ensure the accuracy of day-to-day accounting activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with monthly management accounts, journals, and financial reporting
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting reconciliations
  • Purchase ledger and sales ledger management
  • Performing bank reconciliations and assisting with cash forecasting
  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and audit requirements
  • VAT returns
